There has been a series of terrorist attacks all across India in recent times.Jaipur blasts,Delhi blasts,Assam blasts were there earlier this year but why it hurt so much during 26/11 attacks on Mumbai? In other blasts too innocent people were killed.Almost everyday people in J and K face such kind of situation.
Maybe attack on Mumbai has hurt us the most.Maybe for the first time we have seen real and brutal face of terrorism so closely.Isn’t it?vIt has made us realize that even we are no longer safe.It happened to people at CST or Taj,tomorrow it can very well happen with us.
World wide coverage and the ruthlessness and perfection with which openly terrorists challenged India and its people was the sheer distinguishing point. The target of terrorists ranged from elite personalities in one of India’s finest hotels to common man at CST.No one is spared.
Loopholes in our security system didn’t ever got exposed to such a magnitude.Helpless Raliway police force face-off against heavily armed terorrists with AK-47’s summarizes everything.Today’s terrorists are high tech young individuals who have a well chalked out plan in place backed by extensive training provided for the mission. This makes our task much more diffiicult.
Such is the brutality and inhuman nature of terrorists that they were busy stripping the foreigners at Taj before killing them. They can’t be human and don’t deserve to be alive.
Auguing with Pakistan won’t do any good.It is never ending deadlock.Pakistan which is slipping slowly but surely into the Taliban militia hands is helpless.Taliban offer to army to help it in war against India provides a dangerous insight of Pakistan army-Taliban nexus.Army call all the shots there and PM and President are mere spectators.Army in Pakistan knows only one language while dealing with India and that is ‘War’.
India on the other hand needs to be cautious.India is making big strides on world stage as regards economic progress and is miles ahead of Pakistan where economy is all but devastated. We need to consolidate our position on world stage both in terms of economic growth and securing our country and its people.
A strong reaction from India is called for on the world stage and it shouldn’t forget what happened on 26/11.We have a habit to forget such things very easily but this time we shouldn’t.Its not the time to lower our guards at this moment.Stronger and effective Anti terror laws and improved and high tech internal security mechanism is the need of hour.World should realize that Indian lives come at a price and don’t they dare to even thing of engaging with us.
We as citizens of India also have a responsibility up our sleeves. We need to vigilant as to what’s happening around us.Government can’t guard each and every corner of the country. We as citizens need to contribute. If there are lapses in secuirty, raise your voice against it.
Naxalism in various Indian states need to be dealt with strongly.’Lay Down your arms’ or ‘Perish’ policy should be followed. Its hard at times but i guess that’s the only solution to this increasing threat.
Besides this every citizen should contribute towards erradicating poverty, illiteracy from the society. This will aid in making a better India.Corruption should be dealt with strictly as it eats into majority of funds otherwise allocated to nation building in some way or the other.
India should patrol its borders with utmost vigilance especially the border adjoining China and Bangladesh which are as much a threat to India as Pakistan.Navy should take the charge of guarding the coastline with utmost efficiency.India has long coastline which makes task much more difficult.
High tech weaponary should be included by army, airforce and navy.I guess budget allocated is enough if utilized in right way (again corruption is biggest challange here).Easier said than done but i guess a sincere effort is required.
India shouldn’t forget innocent people, brave police officers who perished in this inhuman act.Time for India to take up this fight. They started it and we should end it.
Jai Hind!
